How to make carrot oil at home – benefits for skin and hair.

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium carrots

  • Coconut oil or olive oil (enough to cover the grated carrots)

Steps:

  1. Wash and peel the carrots thoroughly.

  2. Grate the carrots into small pieces.

  3. Place the grated carrots in a clean pot or pan.

  4. Pour in your chosen oil (coconut or olive oil) until the carrots are fully covered.

  5. Heat the mixture on a low flame for about 50 minutes to 1 hour. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.

  6. Once done, allow it to cool slightly, then strain the oil using a filter or clean cloth to separate the carrots.

  7. Store the carrot oil in a clean, dry container or jar.

Storage

Carrot oil can last up to 6–8 months (or longer) if stored in a cool, dry place.

Quick Tip: For best results, massage carrot oil into your scalp 2–3 times a week. Leave it overnight or for a few hours before washing it out.
